Extended Health Benefit and Transitional Health Benefit
If you go off of ODSP to work you will likely qualify for the Extended Health Benefit (EHB) gives you:
- drug coverage
- dental
- vision
- hearing
- medical transportation
- diabetic and surgical supplies
- ADP co-payments for assistive devices
To figure out if you should get this, look at the amount of your ODSP cheque, if your income is more than our total cheque and your costs for the things above are more than your work income you should be able to get EHB.
If you do not qualify for Extended Health Benefits you could et Transitional Health Benefits (THB) if you are going off of ODSP for a job or training program and you don't get other benefits or your other benefits only cover some items. You have to apply for THB once a year.
